Betty Grable | Rita Hayworth | Jane Russell |
BETTY GRABLE
Betty Grable
world-renowned swimsuit poster (on the left), was owned by one out of
every five U.S. servicemen in World War II. After this pose she insured
her legs were for $1,000,000. She was Hollywood's top draw in 1943, and
was reported to be the highest paid woman in the United States.
Betty sang with Ted Fio Rito's orchestra and also Jay Whidden's. From 1943-1965 she was married to bandleader Harry James. Grable was under a contract with 20th Century studio. She did not make records as the company discouraged it. Her good voice is heard, for the most part, from the musicals in which she appeared.
RITA HAYWORTH
Rita Hayworth's life
was never very easy, but she made the world a better place by brightening the
lives of millions of people with her talents. Although she was one of the most
stunningly beautiful redheads of all time, she wasn't just a pinup; she was a
great actress and an amazing dancer.
JANE RUSSELL
April 24, 1943 Jane
Russell elopes with Waterfield to Las Vegas, gets married and follows her new
husband who gets inducted into the Army to Georgia. Great Shot of the
beautiful Jane Russell.
